Northrich Church was established in Richardson, Texas, in 1960. Over the years, the church was blessed with the leadership of several inspiring pastors and saw many years of fruitful ministry. However, starting around 2010, Northrich Church began to experience a decline in both its effectiveness and member engagement. By late 2023, the church recorded its lowest attendance since its founding.
In Q1 of 2024, the congregation prayed for renewal. In April, the church welcomed an Interim Pastor, and shortly after, received support from Restoration Church of Southlake, who committed to assisting Northrich with its replanting efforts. A team of seven elders and deacons was appointed to manage day-to-day operations. Then, in January 2025, everything changed.
In January 2025, the Replant Team interviewed a promising pastor candidate, and on March 2, Northrich unanimously decided to call Matt Clakley, Discipleship & Mission Pastor at Restoration Church Southlake, as the next Lead Pastor of Northrich. From March 17 to June 30, Matt will serve both churches, and on July 1, 2025, he will become the full-time Lead Pastor of Northrich.
The Bible is alive and active and speaks into every area of life. "All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work."
(2 Timothy 3:16-17)
Prayer is a gift and our connection with God. That is why we emphasize prayer and encourage people to pray always about everything. "Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need." (Hebrews 4:16)
The objective of service is to grow in Christ. When we serve God via people, we grow in ways not previously understood. The best place to learn service is in your home. When that happens good service can then expand to the local church, then community, and finally into the world beyond.
The greatest mission trip ever: Christ left heaven and came to earth. Born of a virgin he was robed in flesh. He lived a perfect life, was crucified on the cross. He shed blood. He died, was buried, then rose again. He then returned home. He now calls us to go to all nations and preach the gospel.
